Dan Stevenson is an accomplished guitarist and educator with more than two decades of experience exploring unique musical expressions.

His current role in Frontierer has him specialising in unconventional rhythms and intricate technicality. He has developed a distinctive approach to guitar that is evident in both his band, Frontierer, known for its intense mathcore sound, and his solo project, Lift, which focuses on experimental soundscapes. 

His playing is marked by intricate time signatures, rapid-fire execution and a wild intensity when performing live. 

We teamed up with Dan to design and develop a custom 7 string as his primary instrument live. Designed and manufactured to his specifications we produced the first Ds-7 prototype.

We knew if anyone was capable of putting our instrument through it's paces, it'd be Dan.  Across the Uk and Europe the first Ds-7 has been tested to the extreme and it's come out the other side.

Our ambition for this guitar was to make something different to a conventional 7 string. Clean and simple, sporting only a single pickup and lone volume control.
